Appearance

If you could judge a book by its cover, then the new Focus would fly off the shelves. It has an athletic z shaped pattern that flows across and throughout the design. The dragon eye quad beam halogen headlamps are smooth, modern, and slightly aggressive, while the split vertical taillamps provide the Focus with an appearance typically found on much more expensive automobiles. The high strength boron steel is up to 4x stronger than typical high strength steel - plus it reduces weight.

There are 11 different color options, with premium tinted clearcoat and ultra premium metallic Tri-coat colors available. The paint process on the new 2012 Ford Focus reduces the amount of pollutants compared with conventional paint shops. It's simply another way the Ford Focus is unconventional and going green.

The 2012 Ford Focus will arrive two versions, a sedan and hatchback.

Technology

Ready to take on the world of electronics, it's tough to find a device the Ford Focus can't connect with or a function it can't perform. There's a huge 8-inch customizable touch screen displaying all sorts of useful info about your car along with entertainment, navigation, and more. You can even turn your Focus into a WiFi enabled hotspot so that your friends and family can surf the web. SYNC allows you to operate nearly any mp3 player or Bluetooth enabled phone via voice commands which keeps your eyes on the road. SIRIUS Travel provides navigation assistance, and HD Radio with iTunes tagging means you'll never forget the name of that song you love - plus you can cue your favorite songs up to purchase later.

Safety

Ford Focus has an array of safety features armed and available. There are dual-stage driver and front seat passenger airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags and front and rear side curtain airbags. 911 Assist will automatically call for help in the event airbags are deployed. Vehicle Health Report allows you to monitor the inner workings and stats on your Focus through an online account.

MyKey allows you to set caps on speed, music volume, and more, especially helpful parents of children who are just beginning to drive. The Parking Technology Package comes with a rear camera, front ultrasonic parking sensors and Active Park Assist. With this package your Focus can parallel park itself almost 3x faster than competitive park assist systems.

Time to Perform

The Focus has a host of features and parts that allow it to perform well and be a joy to drive. It still receives great gas mileage, whether you're driving around town or taking an extended trip. The new 2.0L Ti-VCT I4 direct inject engine is self adjusting for efficient performance. The PowerShift automatic six-speed transmission comes standard, but there is an option to outfit your Focus with SelectShift, affording you the opportunity to shift and manually select gears with a simple button press.
